About this opportunity
Main scope of the role
Within BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking, the Finnish Corporate Coverage team is seeking a positive, proactive, commercially oriented, and analytically minded candidate to join the team as Coverage Associate. The compact team has varying seniority levels and is based in central Helsinki.
What you will do
Part of the commercial team, you will be supporting bankers on the marketing, origination and execution of transactions on a portfolio of mainly large corporate clients.
You will be playing a key role in three dimensions: commercial focus, credit expertise, and KYC/compliance. You will apply basic knowledge of standardised rules, procedures, and operations within these 3 dimensions and will be accountable for assisting to ensure that all processes meet high standards of quality and reliability.
- Commercial: Support the Bankers in the development of the client relationships and drive profitability through preparation and follow-up of client action plans and strategic business reviews including research, liaising with various internal product groups and supporting deal execution. As Associate, you will also proactively and reactively build relationships with internal and external stakeholders under the supervision of the Bankers to effectively deliver on all tasks.
- Credit expertise: Monitor the overall risks and the credit process on a portfolio of Pilot Groups. This includes forming an opinion on the credit worthiness of each request and client and to present this opinion to Risk colleagues, under the supervision of senior colleagues. The Associate also contributes to the internal green light process supporting subsidiary credit limit approvals and to the structuring of plain vanilla products / loan book transactions, assisting in Cash management projects and trade related products.
- Compliance: Responsibility for the Know Your Client (KYC) and ESG processes linked to the dedicated client portfolio, interacting with the relevant teams to make sure that identified risks are adequately treated and reported. The Associate demonstrates strong autonomy in completing onboardings and recertifications in a timely manner.
Relevant experience and requirements
- You hold a relevant master’s degree with strong academic results and have 3-5 years of working experience in Banking.
- You are curious, positive, have an analytical mindset and a real interest in the financial markets, enjoy having a diverse working day including interactive, numerical and administrative tasks
- You appreciate working on projects with colleagues from different backgrounds and countries where you will have the opportunity to challenge your analytical skills, working agility and resilience.
- You possess excellent communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of the Finnish and broader Nordic corporate market and a good understanding of the culture is a plus.

About this opportunity
Main scope of the role
As Head of International Cash Management in Finland, you will be at the forefront of our Transaction Banking growth strategy in the country, identifying and developing new business opportunity with Corporate clients, maintaining the existing Cash Management relations, and maximizing your portfolio revenues.
The role is located in Helsinki reporting to the Head of Cash Management Nordic Region.
What you will do
- Develop new Cash Management Business through the following activities:
- Work closely with Relationship Bankers to review client portfolios and identify opportunities.
- Develop and execute Client Action Plans for key portfolio clients, in close cooperation with Relationship Bankers and in line with the Bank’s Cash Management strategy.
- Identify Client decision makers and engage with them as often as necessary to build trust and intimacy.
- Through a consultative sales approach, understand client needs, identify opportunities and develop solutions in line with the bank’s strengths and capabilities.
- Develop and maintain a deal pipeline of new opportunities for the assigned portfolio.
- Manage the relation with existing clients, maximizing cash management revenues and ensuring high level of client satisfaction on the day-to-day business, making sure client’s requirements are fulfilled and potential issues are properly handled and solved.
- Ensure smooth coordination with key stakeholders (Bankers, Client Servicing, Technical Team, Implementation Team, Product Managers and BNP Paribas network around the globe).
- Act as “Trusted Advisor” with existing and prospective clients to develop strategic solutions to meet clients’ objectives.
Relevant experience and requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Cash Management Sales or Coverage.
- In depth knowledge of European and International Cash Management solutions for Corporates and understanding of Corporate Transaction Banking needs.
- Strong advisory skills with experience in structuring and overviewing the implementation of complex Cash Management solutions.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills and ability to quickly establish high credibility with internal and external business partners.
- Master’s degree in finance, economics or related disciplines.
- Languages: English (working language). Nordic languages and French are a plus.
- Strong command of Office packages and demonstrated ability to using AI-enabled tools are a plus.
